This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Establish a Long-Term Marketing Strategy: Define the 2β3 year technical roadmap for marketing measurement and set the "North Star" metrics and frameworks that guide Reddit in allocating hundreds of millions in marketing budget.
β’ Enhance Marketing ROI: Develop and refine Media Mix Models (MMM) and Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA) systems to quantitatively assess the incremental impact of marketing expenditures.
β’ Integrate B2B & B2C Growth: Create cohesive frameworks to optimize marketing efforts directed at both new advertisers (to drive revenue) and new users (to enhance engagement), identifying synergies where brand awareness for one boosts growth for the other.
β’ Progress Causal Inference & Experimentation: Oversee the design of complex "always-on" incrementality testing and geo-holdout experiments. Formulate methodologies to evaluate the long-term "halo effect" of brand marketing on organic growth.
β’ Influence Leadership: Work closely with Marketing, Growth, and Finance teams to translate intricate data insights into actionable budget modifications.
β’ Serve as the Technical Mentor for the Team: Guide junior scientists and set high standards for code quality and statistical rigor throughout the Marketing organization.
β’ Education: An advanced degree (Masterβs or Ph.D.) in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
β’ Experience: For M.S. degree holders: 10+ years of industry experience in marketing science, growth data science, or econometrics. For Ph.D. degree holders: 6+ years of industry experience.
β’ Domain Knowledge: Extensive understanding of the marketing ecosystem, including practical experience with Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), Incrementality Testing, and Customer Lifetime Value (LTV) prediction.
β’ Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Python or R and SQL. Experience in constructing production-grade data pipelines and applying machine learning for predictive modeling (e.g., churn prediction, lead scoring).
β’ Strategic Communication Skills: Proven ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and effectively "translate" complex statistical concepts into business strategies.
β’ Flexibility: Experience in fast-paced environments requiring navigation through ambiguity and the construction of frameworks from the ground up.
