This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and assist in executing Trustwell’s applied AI strategy across product, engineering, data, and internal business operations.

• Lead the deployment of AI capabilities that are practical, quantifiable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.

• Establish AI governance frameworks, including usage policies, risk controls, evaluation criteria, approval workflows, and ongoing oversight.

• Collaborate with Engineering to create repeatable AI implementation patterns for LLMs, agents, retrieval-augmented generation, structured outputs, model evaluation, observability, and production operations.

• Work alongside Product to identify, assess, and prioritize AI-enabled product opportunities that enhance customer value and operational efficiency.

• Develop frameworks for evaluating AI use cases, factoring in feasibility, risk, data availability, implementation complexity, cost, and anticipated business impact.

• Create and uphold standards for responsible AI usage, covering data management, prompt handling, model selection, explainability, auditability, and human-in-the-loop controls.

• Construct and oversee AI evaluation processes, including test datasets, regression testing, hallucination detection, quality scoring, accuracy assessment, and production feedback loops.

• Assist in establishing internal AI adoption processes, including development workflows, engineering empowerment, training, approved tools, and practical usage guidelines.

• Collaborate with Security, Legal, Compliance, and IT stakeholders to ensure AI implementations are in line with Trustwell’s data protection, privacy, contractual, and security responsibilities.

• Analyze both structured and unstructured data to uncover opportunities for automation, prediction, classification, summarization, enrichment, and decision support.

• Develop prototypes, proofs of concept, and production-ready analytical or AI workflows as needed.

• Provide technical leadership on model selection, vendor assessment, build-versus-buy choices, AI cost management, and long-term platform strategy.

• Work together with data engineering and application teams to enhance data readiness, data quality, metadata, lineage, and retrieval strategies for AI-enabled systems.

• Define metrics and reporting mechanisms to assess AI adoption, performance, quality, cost, risk, and business impact.

• Serve as a trusted advisor and mentor to engineering, product, and business teams as they responsibly and effectively adopt AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, AI engineering, data engineering, software engineering, or related technical fields, with proven experience leading applied AI initiatives from conception to implementation.

• Direct experience in establishing or managing AI governance, evaluation, adoption, or production-readiness processes within an organization.

• Practical experience in implementing AI or machine learning capabilities in a production, enterprise, or customer-facing context.

• Strong comprehension of modern AI technologies, including LLMs, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, structured outputs, agentic workflows, and model evaluation.

• Experience in converting business challenges into actionable AI, data science, analytics, or automation solutions.

• Capability to assess AI use cases based on business value, technical viability, data readiness, operational risk, and implementation costs.

• Experience in establishing responsible AI practices, including data privacy, security, bias awareness, explainability, human review, auditability, and acceptable use controls.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with both structured and unstructured data.

• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with common data science, machine learning, or AI development libraries and frameworks.

• Knowledge of APIs, cloud services, data pipelines, vector stores, and production software delivery practices.
