Staff Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the approach, not just the outcomes: utilize strong product insight to establish direction, define standards, and enhance execution.

• Develop and sustain Jane's comprehensive customer data infrastructure from start to finish.

• Collaborate directly with marketing, paid media, analytics, marketing operations, business intelligence, and product teams as key stakeholders.

• Lead the tooling strategy for Jane's data collection processes.

• Set up instrumentation standards across engineering, product, and marketing teams.

• Oversee identity resolution and attribution within the data collection framework.

• Manage the complexities of consent-based instrumentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related STEM discipline, along with practical experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.

• Proficient in leading and managing both the strategic and execution aspects.

• Experience in evaluating or implementing Customer Data Platforms.

• Familiarity with privacy-compliant tracking and consent management practices.

• Strong perspectives on schema design, event taxonomy, and data quality assurance.

• Experience with identity resolution, attribution, or cross-domain tracking.

• Proficient in JavaScript or TypeScript and SQL (mandatory).

• Comfortable utilizing AI tools as part of your daily workflow.
