Staff Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create and implement dashboards and analytics products with a focus on product development using Tableau.

• Partner with cross-functional business teams and data engineering teams to design collaborative solutions.

• Adhere to coding standards and perform code reviews to ensure consistency and quality.

• Work closely with Data Architects and Data Domain leaders to formulate both high-level and detailed design specifications.

• Ensure high data quality in dashboards and analytics products while conducting root cause analysis to resolve data-related issues.

• Convert business requirements into technical designs and effective visual representations.

• Facilitate self-service analytics capabilities, allowing users to interact with data and derive insights effortlessly.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, or equivalent experience.

• Over 4 years of experience in Business Intelligence development and design, ideally using Tableau.

• Proficient in building data warehouses utilizing Redshift, Snowflake, or Data Bricks.

• Advanced expertise in SQL programming and SQL performance tuning.

• Familiarity with a variety of data visualization techniques.

• In-depth knowledge of dimensional modeling techniques.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving abilities, complemented by critical thinking skills.
