This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

• Report to the Senior Manager of Certification Engineering and assist in guiding the certification initiatives for our inaugural certified aircraft.

• Coordinate and support certification activities for the Airframe teams.

• Develop compliance strategies for Airframe certification, including adherence to FAA regulations.

• Collaborate directly with teams to create relevant designs, development, and certification plans for Type Certification.

• Serve as the liaison between teams and FAA Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs).

• Clearly and concisely communicate regulatory requirements to teams and other Archer departments.

• Ensure that appropriate compliance methods are selected and followed.

• Lead the creation, authorship, review, and execution of all Airframe certification plans.

• Assist in planning and executing development and certification test campaigns.

• Review designs and documentation with DERs to verify compliance with airworthiness standards.

• Support meetings with regulatory authorities by preparing briefing materials and ensuring action items are completed.

• Collaborate with other certification team members to develop integrated planning at the aircraft level.

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in certification processes for civil or military aircraft.

• Prior experience with Part 23, 8110.4c, AC 20-107, AC 23-19, and other relevant regulations and guidance materials.

• Ability to interpret FAA regulations and guidance materials and convey requirements to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Experience in developing and executing certification plans.

• Proven experience interacting and communicating directly with the FAA.
