Staff Backend Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

• Collaborate with engineers and technical leaders throughout the organization to deliver products built on solid foundations.

• Create high-quality, end-to-end product experiences for various platforms.

• Enhance engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

• Guide and develop the team to achieve both immediate and long-term objectives.

• Make informed trade-offs that take into account business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical framework.

• Identify, define, and spearhead significant technical projects, establishing the groundwork for early-stage products to evolve iteratively and scale, while managing complexity and enhancing the reliability of existing systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Over 5 years of experience in backend development, with a strong emphasis on platform and infrastructure roles.

• Extensive expertise in backend programming languages such as Go, Node, and Python.

• Experience in managing state within distributed systems and a solid understanding of microservices architecture.

• Proficient in backend testing frameworks with knowledge of best practices in system testing.

• Proven experience collaborating across engineering teams and other functions to foster alignment, facilitate decision-making, and maintain transparent communication.

• Experience in mentoring and supporting the growth of engineers and peers.
