Staff Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete backend architecture from the outset.

• Establish technical standards and best practices.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to upcoming backend engineers.

• Develop and enhance core backend systems.

• Share responsibility for the technical vision alongside the Head of Engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Over 7 years of experience in backend engineering.

• Proficient in Python.

• Strong expertise in database management (PostgreSQL or comparable).

• Extensive understanding of distributed systems.

• Hands-on experience with AWS (or GCP/Azure).

• Solid foundational knowledge in DevOps.

• Proficient in data engineering concepts.
