Staff Backend Engineer – Adaptive Telemetry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical strategy and establish the roadmap.

• Oversee the complete delivery of large-scale, cross-functional projects.

• Take ownership of architecture, reliability, performance, and cost management for essential systems.

• Set SLOs/SLIs and direct incident response efforts.

• Enhance observability, automation, and operational preparedness.

• Align stakeholders and eliminate obstacles.

• Mentor and develop engineering talent.

• Represent the engineering team within the organization and to external parties.

• Demonstrated success in delivering large distributed systems.

• Strong instincts for systems design.

• Practical experience with cloud and platform technologies.

• Ownership of reliability and performance.

• Proficient coding and design abilities.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.

• Experience with messaging systems and telemetry.

• Ability to influence others without direct authority.

• Excellent communication skills.
