Staff Analytics Engineer, GTM Data Science & Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Create and implement a structured business data layer using dbt, ensuring that data from various sources is centralized, reconciled, and acts as a single source of truth for GTM metrics.

• Work closely with stakeholders in the GTM Operations team and Finance to define, document, and maintain alignment on essential business metrics and data definitions.

• Design and uphold automated data reconciliation and quality checks to proactively identify and address discrepancies, ensuring the precision and consistency of vital reports and dashboards.

• Mentor and support members of the data science and analytics team, establishing and enforcing best practices for data modeling, testing, documentation, and code review.

• Lead inquiries into complex data anomalies, perform root cause analyses, and effectively communicate findings and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, or a related field, preferably with direct experience in supporting GTM or sales analytics in a SaaS context.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and practical experience in designing data models and orchestrating data pipelines using dbt.

• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to codify, document, and reconcile critical business metrics, ensuring alignment of data across the company.

• Demonstrated success in implementing robust data quality and testing frameworks, including expertise with dbt tests, CI/CD, and data observability.

• Strong technical communication and mentorship capabilities, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
