This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
β’ Develop the Data Platform
β’ Design, construct, and sustain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines that integrate product data, payment providers, and third-party APIs
β’ Architect and take ownership of the company's cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift)
β’ Create dependable orchestration workflows utilizing Airflow, Prefect, or similar tools
β’ Enhance warehouse performance and cost-effectiveness through efficient data modeling and query optimization
β’ Ensure Data Quality and Governance
β’ Generate clean, testable transformation layers using dbt or equivalent frameworks
β’ Design a semantic layer that delivers consistent business metrics throughout the organization
β’ Execute data quality testing, monitoring, lineage, and documentation
β’ Incorporate security and governance into the platform, including access controls, PII management, and privacy-aware data practices
β’ Collaborate Across Engineering and Product
β’ Work in close partnership with Product and Growth teams to aid product analytics, experimentation, subscription metrics, and business reporting
β’ Team up with software engineers on event tracking, data contracts, and API integrations
β’ Advocate for DataOps best practices, which include CI/CD, version control, testing, and documentation-as-code
β’ Over 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a comparable role
β’ Proficient SQL skills along with expertise in Python (Scala is an advantage)
β’ Practical experience with modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
β’ Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or similar
β’ Strong grasp of data modeling and experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
β’ Experience in designing and maintaining production-grade data pipelines
β’ A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to building dependable, high-quality data systems
β’ Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to cross-functional stakeholders
β’ Experience in implementing secure, privacy-conscious data practices
