Staff AI/ML Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Create and evaluate multi-turn, state-aware conversational systems utilizing LLM reasoning loops (such as ReAct, Plan-and-Solve) and multi-agent orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, AutoGen, or bespoke state machines).

• Drive innovation by integrating new frameworks and leveraging recent advancements in generative and agentic AI.

• Advocate for best practices in AI / ML while mentoring junior team members.

• Spearhead functional teams and initiatives to enhance the adoption of Conversational AI.

• Utilize Python, MLflow, Azure stack (including Azure cloud, Azure ML, Azure Data Factory), and Databricks to execute comprehensive AI solutions for constructing, benchmarking, and sustaining AI / ML models.

• Maintain close communication with clients to assess their requirements and suggest solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and drive business value.

• Keep abreast of technological trends related to AI and leverage this knowledge to tackle the key challenges facing EcoVadis.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics/Applied Math, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Computational Linguistics).

• Over 8 years of experience in machine learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP), including at least 4 years focused on Conversational AI within production environments.

• Extensive understanding of agentic frameworks and a proven history of developing autonomous or semi-autonomous agentic systems at scale.

• Experience leading comprehensive AI initiatives in the industry, from design through implementation to integration, while adhering to best software development practices.

• Strong mentoring abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality and timely results on the initiatives they oversee.

• Experience collaborating across functions in the development of AI-powered products (e.g., with Engineers and Product Managers).

• Experience in creating conversational interfaces across complex enterprise domains (e.g., Supply Chain, Procurement, Financial Risk) is an advantage.

• A record of peer-reviewed publications in prestigious NLP/AI venues (such as ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, AAAI, KDD) is a bonus.
