This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, construct, and sustain Laurel’s internal developer platform for creating, testing, and deploying AI agents and automated workflows.
• Develop self-service tools, templates, and frameworks to enable non-engineering teams to safely launch AI-powered applications.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines for AI agent delivery and establish hosting infrastructure for AI-generated and AI-assisted web pages and internal portals.
• Set up guardrails for model access, data management, prompt safety, and output validation.
• Guide and educate internal teams on responsible AI integration while maintaining the AI standards playbook.
• Operate the central AI infrastructure layer, which includes usage dashboards, expenditure tracking, budget alerts, model configurations, API gateway settings, rate limits, and version control.
• Implement observability tools with logging, tracing, and cost attribution for AI workloads.
• Assess and onboard AI models, tools, and providers from pilot phases to production readiness.
• Design and manage the MCP server ecosystem for structured tool usage and agent-to-service integrations.
• Collaborate with business units to identify AI automation prospects and convert them into production-ready tools.
• Offer technical support, documentation, training, runbooks, and onboarding resources to internal users of the AI platform.
• 3–6 years of software engineering experience within a corporate or enterprise setting.
• Practical experience with Claude, OpenAI Codex / GPT APIs, AI agent frameworks, and/or MCP integrations.
• Expertise in building and managing internal developer platforms, software factories, or CI/CD infrastructure.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and/or Docker.
• Proficiency with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Understanding of API gateway patterns, rate limiting, OAuth2, API keys, and RBAC.
• Capability to translate security, compliance, and policy requirements into technical controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Anthropic Claude APIs, Claude.ai for Teams/Enterprise, or Claude-powered agents.
• Preferred: Experience in MCP server development and agentic tool-use integration patterns.
• Preferred: Familiarity with AI model lifecycle management, including fine-tuning, evaluation, versioning, and rollback strategies.
• Preferred: Experience with Datadog, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry observability stacks for LLM/AI services.
• Preferred: Background in internal platforms or DevOps supporting developer communities.
• Working knowledge of or eagerness to quickly develop expertise in Claude, MCP, OpenAI Codex / GPT APIs, AI agents and orchestration, and OpenClaw.
