This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Oversees the process of monthly balance sheet account reconciliation for various entities within the organization.
• Examines account activity, detects discrepancies in reconciliations, and ensures prompt resolution.
• Maintains knowledge of account classifications to accurately analyze and document reconciliation matters.
• Assists with quarterly reviews and annual audits by supplying documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.
• Works collaboratively with Site Liaisons, site CFOs, and module owners in the LBS Technical Accounting team to guarantee that balances are accurate and well-supported.
• Monitors and enforces internal controls to protect assets and uphold the integrity of financial data.
• Conducts account analysis to uncover trends, variances, and opportunities for process enhancements.
• Investigates and implements new accounting standards while helping to assess their impact on the organization.
• Offers training and support to junior accounting personnel.
• Assists with special projects and other responsibilities as required to aid the HSC Accounting department.
• Maintains consistent and dependable attendance, performing additional duties as assigned.
• Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience, ideally within the healthcare or hospital sector.
• Strong grasp of GAAP and principles of internal control.
• Experience in conducting account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Capability to analyze and resolve reconciliation discrepancies and clearly communicate findings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiarity with Oracle systems and reporting tools (OTBI, FDI, EPM) is preferred.
• Outstanding problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred; an active license is a plus.
