This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the complete accounting cycles, ensuring all daily general ledger activities adhere to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end deadlines.
• Implement monthly closing processes, which include the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and the upkeep of the closing checklist.
• Conduct variance analyses on monthly outcomes to guarantee accuracy and provide insights into financial changes.
• Manage the Accounts Payable (AP) process, which involves overseeing expense categorization and upholding strong internal controls.
• Administer billing and accounts receivable by generating and sending customer invoices as required.
• Ensure budget integrity by analyzing revenue and expenditure variances against budgets, forecasts, and previous quarters.
• Serve as the main point of contact between the company and external Tax and Audit vendors to ensure smooth compliance.
• Create and maintain accounting standards, laying out the organization’s principles, practices, and procedures to support its growth.
• Propel process enhancements and accounting initiatives that strengthen the department's core operations.
• Must reside within the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
• Over 10 years of experience in accounts payable and general ledger accounting.
• Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles and practices.
• Practical experience applying ASC 606 in a SaaS context (contract analysis, revenue schedules, deferred revenue, etc.).
• Proven ability to collaborate with operations/deal desk on contract interpretation.
• Capability to work directly with a CFO.
• General understanding of transactional accounting: AP, AR, payroll, etc.
• Comprehensive knowledge of audit support requirements (including approvals) for transaction processing.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and make informed decisions.
• Confidence to ask questions and actively contribute as a problem solver in the business environment.
• Proven experience with Maxio.
• Exceptional planning, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• QBO certified.
