Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Execute full-cycle accounting tasks across various entities.

• Oversee accounts payable (AP) entries and cash transactions.

• Prepare and record payroll journal entries.

• Document and manage accruals.

• Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

• Review financial statements for precision and completeness.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.

• 3–5+ years of accounting experience with comprehensive full-cycle accounting responsibilities.

• Strong expertise in:

• - Accounts Payable (AP)

• - Cash transactions

• - Payroll journal entries

• - Accruals

• - Account reconciliations

• - Financial statement analysis

• - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• - Sage Intacct experience is a mandatory requirement.

• - Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational capabilities.

• - Interest in utilizing AI and automation to boost efficiency and accounting practices.
