Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Execute month-end closing procedures, which encompass journal entries, account reconciliations, and the consolidation of international subsidiaries.

• Generate monthly and quarterly flux analyses along with internal reporting packages.

• Oversee the accounts payable procedure, which includes processing vendor invoices, matching receipts, handling credit card transactions, and ensuring adherence to corporate policies.

• Carry out treasury operations, which involve daily and weekly cash postings and reconciliations across various subsidiaries and currencies, initiating and monitoring intercompany transfers, and aiding in short-term cash flow forecasting.

• Offer audit assistance and provide necessary tax compliance documentation.

• Aid in recognizing and implementing process improvement opportunities.

• Support the preparation of financial statements and investor reports.

• Assist with ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in operational accounting; experience in fintech, MCA, or lending is advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP standards.

• Proficient in Excel; familiarity with Netsuite, Ramp, and FloQast is a plus.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

• Effective communication skills and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Preference for candidates with experience in high-volume transactions and reconciliations.
