SRE Engineer, OpenShift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Support the administration, upkeep, and management of on-premise OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters to guarantee high availability and optimal performance.

• Execute daily OpenShift system administration responsibilities, monitor the health of the infrastructure, and assist with patch management and system upgrades.

• Serve as a first and second line of support for platform-related issues, investigating deployment failures, pod crashes, and connectivity problems.

• Recognize repetitive manual tasks and collaborate with senior engineers to create and sustain automation scripts (Ansible, Shell, Python).

• Work alongside software developers to facilitate the containerization of applications and resolve issues in lower environments (Dev/QA).

• Assist in maintaining observability dashboards (Grafana) and respond to alerts generated by Prometheus or APM tools.

• Actively engage in team knowledge-sharing sessions, learn advanced Kubernetes concepts (such as Operators, ODF, and Security Context Constraints), and progressively undertake more complex platform engineering responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering with at least 1 year of experience in Linux and Kubernetes platforms, possessing a strong development skill set and knowledge.

• Over 1 year of experience in IT infrastructure, Linux administration, and support for Kubernetes platforms.
