DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Leverage Terraform to automate and manage infrastructure on Azure and Cloudflare, ensuring deployments are consistent and scalable.

• Database management: Supervise PostgreSQL database operations and automate tasks related to database management for improved efficiency.

• Message queue configuration: Set up and configure message queues to enable efficient data processing and communication between services.

• CI/CD pipeline management: Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, automating the software delivery process to enhance deployment efficiency.

• Infrastructure security and management: Ensure security across the infrastructure by enforcing RBAC practices and applying best practices for compliance and security within the DevOps lifecycle.

• Monitor, optimize, and ensure observability of system performance: Implement and uphold monitoring and observability solutions to track and optimize system performance, identify bottlenecks, and maintain system health.

• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues: Rapidly diagnose and address any infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to our services.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.

• Over 8 years of industry experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a comparable role, supporting cloud-based infrastructure and automation.

• Proficient in Azure: Hands-on experience with Azure and cloud services in production settings, with a strong emphasis on security and scalability.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Demonstrated experience with Terraform for automating infrastructure provisioning and management.

• Database management: Proficient in managing PostgreSQL databases and automating related tasks.

• CI/CD pipelines: Extensive experience in designing, maintaining, and automating CI/CD pipelines (preferably with GitHub Actions).

• Scripting and automation: Skilled in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell to automate tasks and enhance efficiency.

• Monitoring and observability: Strong production experience in implementing monitoring and observability solutions to track system performance, identify bottlenecks, and maintain overall system health.

• Problem-solving skills: Capable of troubleshooting and resolving complex infrastructure issues promptly and effectively.

• Communication skills: Exceptional collaborative abilities, working efficiently within cross-functional teams and sharing knowledge.

• Security knowledge: Experience in implementing security measures throughout the DevOps lifecycle, including managing secrets and ensuring compliance.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect concepts (tokens, scopes, common flows) and understanding of Azure AD/Entra ID.
