Sr Geotechnical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Participate in project meetings, create scope of work documents, and draft proposals for engineering initiatives.

• Conduct and/or supervise technical analyses and calculations, formulate recommendations, and compile reports for engineering projects.

• Collaborate with other professionals, including subconsultants and internal team members, in relation to geotechnical, remediation, and restoration services.

• Aid in the development and review of design documents and supporting materials, which include engineering drawings and calculations, technical specifications, and cost estimates.

• Support the establishment of in-house deep foundations testing capabilities, including the procurement and management of equipment, staff training and development, client outreach, and marketing efforts.

• Manage tasks effectively, including team assignments and coordination, contractor oversight, budget and schedule development for projects, and ensure their successful completion.

• Create and implement field investigation and laboratory testing plans at both upland and in-water project locations.

• Contribute to the preparation of construction planning and observation documentation, as well as provide construction oversight and management services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Civil Engineering or a Master's degree in Civil Engineering.

• Over 12 years of experience in a related engineering field.

• PE licensure in Texas, Louisiana, or adjacent states (or the capability to obtain within one year of employment).

• Proven experience in managing projects/tasks and engaging with clients.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• A readiness to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously across different disciplines, meet deadlines, and work within a client-service-oriented team environment.

• Detail-oriented, highly organized, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
