SQL Developer – Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Accountable for creating new functionalities and enhancing existing ones, dedicating 75% of the allotted time as per the budget plan.

• Tasked with addressing client requirements and priorities, ensuring alignment with the budget plan and the organization’s strategic objectives.

• Evaluate the functional specification; if necessary, return it for scope completion and suggest alternative implementation strategies to the business or product analyst that provide greater value to the client with minimal system impact.

• Establish technical requirements, implement solutions, and provide guidance to fellow developers on execution and adherence to governance standards.

• Confirm with the Senior Business Analyst or your management the projected development hours for each project.

• Allocate development responsibilities among team members and offer relevant technical support.

• Conduct code reviews of work produced by your team’s analysts, ensuring that developments comply with technical and governance standards and adhere to development best practices.

• Assist with production maintenance by rectifying bugs in programs and components, creating scripts for database modifications, assessing the impact of issues on client operations, and notifying the business analyst for client communication.

• Collaborate closely with leadership in planning project structures and support to understand assigned tasks, sharing insights or proposing actions that facilitate project completion.

• Aid leadership in maintaining schedule compliance and client service according to deadlines established with management.

• Create unit tests (TDD).

• Execute code refactoring on assigned routines.

• Generate evidence and documentation of the development performed.

• Upon completion of development, submit to the quality assurance team for final validation, assist in the QA process, and guide the team to incorporate additional tests when changes may affect multiple parts of the system beyond the project’s functional specification.

• Engage actively in the deployment of systems/modules at the client site, analyze optimal deployment strategies, data migration processes, and system versioning, while supporting the business/product analyst with system configurations.

• Offer technical support and/or train new developers on development tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in technology or a related discipline.

• Strong understanding of programming logic.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Familiarity with C# is preferred.

• Extensive experience with Visual Studio.

• Knowledge of agile methodologies is a plus.
