Czech Sports Localization Specialist – Football

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Denmark.

📋 Description

• Translate and adapt music-related content into native-level Danish for the client’s global Music platform.

• Create engaging in-app content and user experiences for audiences across various genres and formats.

• Execute translation, transcreation, and copy editing tasks.

• Review, localize, fact-check, translate, and modify content while adhering to writing style guides and guidelines.

• Conduct market-specific research on local content, product and terminology trends, and best practices for localization.

• Provide constructive feedback on written content.

• Complete a grammar and UX/creative assessment via Mettl.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BS/BA degree and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience in linguistics, sports journalism, copywriting, or copy-editing.

• In-depth knowledge of sports, particularly football.

• Experience in translating and localizing multimedia content; familiarity with machine translation and evaluation is preferred.

• Native-level proficiency in the target language.

• Exceptional grammar and writing abilities in the native language.

• Strong creative writing, proofreading, and editing skills in the native language.

• Solid practical knowledge of computers, mobile devices, word processors, and spreadsheets.

• Possess a licensed version of MS Office applications.

• Ability to work independently and remotely.

• Preferred daily/weekly availability.

• Published work on platforms such as ESPN, The Athletic, or FourFourTwo, or similar, is an advantage.

• Experience with sports media platforms, live score apps, or sports streaming services is a plus.

• Ability to adapt voice and style for Gen Z, football fan culture, and pop culture audiences is beneficial.

• Successful completion of grammar and UX/creative testing via Mettl is required.
