This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Collaborate effectively with Data Scientists and Engineers to identify and resolve data pipeline integrity issues.
• Identify data discrepancies such as missing, out-of-range, or otherwise incorrect on-field data.
• Trace the origins of data inaccuracies through dependencies in the data pipeline and the Python codebase.
• Establish data validation tests to flag potential future errors in the game.
• Investigate accurate roster active statuses, primary positions, and game participation.
• Confirm data modifications following updates to logic.
• Conduct in-depth analyses of production model features to elucidate project market lines.
• Document findings clearly and comprehensively.
• Gain a thorough understanding of current databases and develop metadata references.
• Assist lead Data Scientists in feature development and model analysis with guidance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in football data analysis.
• Extensive knowledge of football, basketball, or baseball, including roster compositions of professional and college teams, general gameplay strategies, and common in-game scenarios.
• Proficiency in Data Extraction, Wrangling, and Analysis using Python.
• Strong skills in SQL querying.
