This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Perform thorough evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication skills.
• Create tailored therapy plans and objectives based on assessment outcomes and individual student needs.
• Deliver direct therapy services focusing on articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
• Work in partnership with teachers, parents, and other educational team members to facilitate students' communication objectives.
• Integrate evidence-based methods and therapeutic activities into therapy sessions.
• Track students' progress and modify therapy plans as necessary.
• Accurately document therapy sessions, progress reports, and any pertinent information in a timely manner.
• Engage in IEP meetings and provide insights regarding students' speech and language requirements.
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Experience in delivering speech-language therapy services within a school or pediatric environment.
• Proficient in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly utilized in pediatric speech-language pathology.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel.
• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience with teletherapy or online counseling is preferred.
• Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technologies used in speech-language therapy is preferred.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods and operate a computer keyboard and mouse.
• Proficient in verbal and written communication with colleagues and clients.
• Occasionally capable of standing, walking, reaching, and lifting or moving objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Must possess an active Michigan license.
