Speech Language Pathologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional speech language services to K-12 students enrolled in Connections Academy's virtual public schools.

• Design and execute individual and group therapy sessions within a virtual setting.

• Utilize webcams, web conferencing tools, the company's online Education Management System, and specialized education software to manage caseloads and maintain records.

• Adhere to the specific policies and procedures of assigned schools and state regulations for implementing LiveSpeech services.

• Foster positive working relationships with the LiveSpeech team, schools, and programs being served.

• Review and evaluate reports to ensure compliance is maintained.

• Engage in communication with leadership, school personnel, parents, and learning coaches.

• Thoroughly document therapeutic interventions and progress reports in a timely manner.

• Hold biweekly meetings with the supervisor.

• Conduct screenings and both formal and informal assessments of students' communication requirements.

• Ensure that students' IEP goals and needs are met in a timely and appropriate manner.

• Consult with teachers and coordinate specially designed instruction as outlined in students' IEPs.

• Manage special education cases for select students whose primary special education requirement is speech therapy.

• Schedule, organize, and facilitate virtual IEP-related meetings as needed.

• Assist with the paperwork, documentation, and procedures associated with the IEP process.

• Keep accurate and up-to-date data in the Education Management System and secondary IEP systems.

• Comply with data protection and security regulations as well as company policies.

• Acquire and maintain necessary licenses and clearances.

• Complete assigned professional development, training, and CEU courses.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• MA or MS degree in Speech Language Pathology.

• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.

• Active and valid state and/or Department of Education licensure in Speech Pathology within the state of residence.

• Capability to obtain and maintain multiple required state certifications and clearances.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a K-12 educational setting.

• Proficient technology skills.

• High level of flexibility and the ability to work independently.

• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.

• Capacity to use a personal electronic device and email for two-step authentication.

• Suitable means to work remotely, ensuring compliance with home-office privacy, technology, and equipment standards.

• Employee must provide a mouse and keyboard when working from home.
