Specification Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Develop technical hardware configurations and specifications tailored for the architectural sector, ensuring compliance with codes for new constructions and aftermarket inquiries.

• Offer architects innovative solutions for their product application needs.

• Engage in pre- and post-installation discussions as required.

• Support revisions, coordinate access control, and handle requests for information during various project stages.

• Relay strategic project updates to the Architectural Services Consultant to enhance project strategy for the sales team.

• Inform about project modifications that may influence specifications and sales strategies.

• Foster effective two-way communication with both the Architectural Services Consultant and the Sales Team.

• Evaluate electro-mechanical products and solutions, which include access control and software components.

• Clarify door hardware coordination needs and address conflicts related to access control, electrical specifications, and specialty door requirements.

• Collaborate with the Architectural Services Consultant to ensure a positive customer experience and fulfill project commitments.

• Stay updated on industry trends and competitor products by analyzing market data and competitive actions.

• Adjust to changes in the marketplace.

• Utilize CRM, Specification Writing software, and collaborative tools effectively.

• Remain informed of and adhere to Allegion's policies, guidelines, and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma is mandatory.

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• 3–10 years of relevant industry experience is preferred.

• CDT Credential is preferred.

• A working knowledge of mechanical and electronic solutions, ranging from mechanical access/egress control to comprehensive facility solutions, is preferred.

• Intermediate understanding of electrical systems and electronic components is essential.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proven experience in influencing others with a proactive approach.

• Strong emphasis on customer service.

• Ongoing education aimed at achieving the AHC credential through DHI.

• DHT certification is preferred.

• Must possess legal authorization for employment in the United States.
