This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Implement AbbVie's brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and target accounts.
• Develop pre-call strategies and perform post-call assessments to enhance sales effectiveness.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings while securing calls to action to finalize sales discussions.
• Cultivate trusted relationships with customers and establish mutually beneficial agreements.
• Formulate and execute call plans to maximize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Acquire knowledge of customer requirements, territorial landscape, competitors, market dynamics, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales techniques.
• Distribute market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales teams.
• Highlight AbbVie's value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie's business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• In the absence of a bachelor's degree, a minimum of five years of relevant equivalent industry experience, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors is preferred.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive understanding.
• Strong business insight and adept use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to recognize customer styles and behaviors and tailor the sales approach accordingly.
• Competence in developing sales strategies and innovative solutions.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Experience in leadership and peer coaching.
• Proven track record of success in leadership and support roles with increasing responsibility.
• Documented sales achievements within the relevant therapeutic areas are preferred.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible for credentials.
• Must successfully pass background checks, drug screenings, immunization/vaccination verification, fingerprinting, and any necessary state or city licenses as applicable.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and fulfill safe-driving criteria.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
