This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Develop pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations.
• Address objections and secure calls to action to finalize sales conversations.
• Establish trusted relationships with customers and reach mutually beneficial agreements.
• Create and execute call plans to enhance customer engagement and sales potential.
• Assess customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, clinical information, and sales outcomes.
• Relay market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie's value proposition to assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie's business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• A bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related discipline is preferred.
• Relevant industry experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five (5) years of experience, with three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector preferred.
• A high school diploma/GED is required if qualifying through the experience alternative.
• Capability to recognize customer styles and behaviors while adjusting selling techniques accordingly.
• Proficiency in developing sales strategies based on customer insights.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix organization.
• Innovative problem-solving skills with a focus on maximizing business prospects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive landscapes.
• Strong business acumen and adeptness with business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to influence others while serving as a credible role model and resource.
• Skills in collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams.
• Proven leadership and support success at the district, regional, or organizational level.
• Experience in pharmaceutical commercial roles preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible for credentials.
• Capable of passing background checks, drug tests, immunization/vaccination verification, fingerprinting, and any required facility or local licenses.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
• Ability to operate a personal or company vehicle or powered material-handling equipment.
