This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Gabon.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field, ensuring effective sales performance while managing the designated territory and key accounts.
• Establish strong customer relationships and enhance problem-solving capabilities to optimize both short-term and long-term sales outcomes.
• Achieve sales performance targets, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives to meet or surpass set expectations.
• Develop pre-call objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to foster continuous improvement in sales effectiveness.
• Skillfully address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns to consistently secure logical and actionable outcomes in every sales interaction.
• Formulate and implement a call plan that meets established metrics and maximizes coverage and frequency with key customers to enhance access and sales opportunities.
• Continuously enhance understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, competitive landscape, and disease/product expertise, sharing this intelligence with the field team, brand team, and sales manager for alignment.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare providers while identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships with disease state experts and advocates to optimize brand success.
• A Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience is required.
• Relevant and equivalent industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree must include at least five (5) years of experience, with three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred, alongside a high school diploma/GED.
• Exhibits comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge, recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen with proficient use of business tools; possesses capabilities in strategic and critical thinking.
• Proactively identifies customer behavior styles and swiftly adapts selling approaches accordingly.
• Understands and utilizes insights to develop effective sales strategies.
• Proposes innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities and tackle challenges.
• Proven track record of success in leadership and support roles with increased responsibilities at district, regional, or organizational levels.
• Demonstrated success in sales performance within the relevant therapeutic areas is preferred.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing, is preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing (for all non-English speaking countries).
