This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.
• Implement AbbVie’s branding strategy and field tactics
• Achieve sales outcomes, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing targets
• Oversee the designated territory and target accounts
• Cultivate robust customer relationships and address customer needs
• Develop pre-call strategies using SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments
• Manage objections and encourage actions to finalize sales discussions
• Create and execute calling strategies to enhance customer engagement and sales potential
• Acquire knowledge about customer requirements, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales proficiency
• Communicate market insights with the in-field team, brand team, and sales management
• Highlight AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates
• Collaborate with district colleagues, matrix teams, sales leadership, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand stakeholders
• Travel is expected to be approximately 50% of the time
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a related business field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience
• A minimum of five years of pertinent and comparable industry experience is required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, with three or more years preferred in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors
• High school diploma/GED is required
• Demonstrated history of success in sales
• Strong presentation abilities
• Flexibility to adjust sales techniques based on customer style and behavior
• Capability to identify creative ideas and solutions to maximize business prospects
• Experience in leadership and peer coaching, including documented success in roles with increasing responsibility
• Comprehension of sales data and ability to formulate sales strategies
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical sector is preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing standards and be in good standing or be eligible to obtain credentials
• Demonstrates comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge
• Strong business insights and proficiency with business tools
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment
• Valid driver’s license required
• Capacity to operate a personal vehicle or company car/truck or powered material-handling equipment
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving criteria
