This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Implement AbbVie brand strategies and initiatives in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Develop pre-call strategies utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings to successfully conclude sales calls.
• Meet customer needs and cultivate trustworthy relationships with clients.
• Create and execute call strategies to enhance coverage, frequency, access, and sales prospects.
• Gain insights into customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales methodologies.
• Disseminate market intelligence to in-field teams, brand representatives, and sales management.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates.
• Collaborate with district colleagues, matrix teams, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand stakeholders.
• Travel approximately 50% of the time within the designated territory.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience required.
• In the absence of a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of five years of relevant industry experience, including at least three years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors preferred.
• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Proven sales success is essential.
• Strong presentation skills are necessary.
• Capability to adjust selling techniques to align with customer styles and behaviors.
• Ability to create innovative ideas and solutions to enhance business opportunities.
• Skill in influencing others and acting as a credible resource among peers.
• Collaborative skills for working within district and matrix teams.
• Documented leadership and support experience at district, regional, or organizational levels.
• Proficiency in understanding findings and formulating sales strategies.
• Preferred pharmaceutical commercial experience, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet the necessary healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
• Demonstrated comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment.
• Must be able to drive a personal vehicle, company car, truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe-driving standards.
