This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call plans using SMART objectives and conduct evaluations after calls.
• Address objections and prompt calls to action to secure sales.
• Meet customer needs and establish trusted relationships with clients.
• Create and execute call plans to enhance coverage, frequency, access, and sales opportunities.
• Gain insights into customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Share market intelligence with in-field teams, brand, and sales management.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, develop, and nurture disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, in-field team members, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand stakeholders.
• Travel around 25% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience required.
• A minimum of five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience required in place of a bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred three or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical, health, or science industry.
• High school diploma/GED is mandatory.
• Proven success in sales is essential.
• Strong presentation skills are required.
• Ability to tailor selling approaches to align with customer styles and behaviors.
• Capacity to develop innovative solutions and optimize business opportunities.
• Ability to influence others and serve as a credible role model and resource.
• Skills in collaborative partnerships within district and matrix teams.
• Documented leadership and support achievements at district, regional, or organizational levels.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be eligible to obtain credentials.
• Must be able to pass background checks, drug screenings, immunization/vaccination verification, fingerprinting, and any relevant licensing requirements.
• Extensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business acumen and effective use of business tools are necessary.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills are required.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Capability to drive a personal vehicle, company car, truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• A valid driver’s license is necessary.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and fulfill safe-driving criteria.
