This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
• Oversee and conduct first-level response and troubleshooting for infrastructure alerts utilizing HP OMi.
• Diagnose file system, memory, and CPU utilization alarms on server systems (RHEL, Rocky Linux/CentOS, and Windows).
• Administer server operations, which include hardware maintenance, BIOS updates, RAID components, and virtualization technologies like Hyper-V.
• Execute patching, health checks, and other activities for Linux and Windows servers to ensure compliance and system availability.
• Automate operational tasks with Python and Git.
• Actively participate in initiatives aimed at process improvement.
• Independently and proactively engage in projects as necessary.
• Manage tasks through ticketing systems while providing operational support.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to address incidents and escalations.
• Develop and sustain technical documentation, knowledge articles, best practices, and procedures using Confluence.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 7 years of experience in supporting enterprise server infrastructure and production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Linux along with basic Windows server administration skills.
• Capability to identify and resolve hardware issues using tools such as iDRAC, iLO, and others.
• Extensive experience with programming languages like Python.
• Basic knowledge of Ansible/Shell scripting and/or PowerShell.
• Experience in working with API calls, extracting datasets, and leveraging data for analytics and operational insights.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Self-driven, dependable team member who continually seeks to improve system performance.
• Nice to Have: RHCSA, MCSE, or similar technical certifications.
• Experience with cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with tools such as Splunk, Terraform, Tanium, Ansible Automation Platform, Foreman, Git, or similar.
• Understanding of financial services, trading systems, or other highly available, mission-critical environments.
