Specialist Backend Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable backend applications utilizing Java/Spring Framework.

• Ensure optimal performance and availability of applications within a microservices architecture.

• Collaborate with product managers to grasp requirements, validate their technical feasibility, and convert them into dependable and scalable solutions.

• Engage in software engineering rituals to create models for intricate applications.

• Establish private and public APIs for a top-tier product.

• Take part in code reviews, promoting best practices in backend development.

• Produce high-quality technical documentation to clearly articulate backend architecture and API design, facilitating understanding and effective collaboration across teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Demonstrated professional experience (8+ years) in backend development with Java.

• Expertise in Spring Framework.

• Significant experience in code reviews and overseeing CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth, JWT, or SAML.

• Experience with version control and project management tools, especially Git and GitHub.

• Proficient in SQL and No-SQL databases.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team, possessing strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment (or similar) that is in an early stage and experiencing rapid growth.

• Willingness to travel as necessary to connect with the team.

• Fluent in Portuguese.
