This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.
• Support educators in delivering tailored instruction that aligns with students’ IEP objectives.
• Implement assistive technology and diverse methods to facilitate the regular education curriculum.
• Collaborate and co-teach with both special education and general education teachers and coaches.
• Manage special education requirements for students in inclusion programs.
• Evaluate student mastery in accordance with state standards and assessment requirements.
• Prepare students for standardized assessments and assist with local and state testing.
• Engage with students, parents, teachers, coaches, staff, administrators, and stakeholders regarding performance and progress.
• Foster positive relationships with families.
• Monitor student progress and encourage achievement through goal-oriented incentives.
• Record documentation and maintain accurate records in designated systems.
• Ensure compliance with company and district record-keeping regulations.
• Provide reports and take part in special education meetings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions.
• Address day-to-day issues involving staff and students.
• Contribute to the development of an effective special education program.
• Participate in Response to Intervention processes when requested.
• Assist with school committees, assemblies, events, incentives, and community service initiatives.
• Support pre- and post-school activities, clubs, lunch duties, and other required before or after-school responsibilities.
• Communicate the needs of special education students to school leadership.
• Promote a positive school atmosphere while enforcing school and classroom rules and policies.
• High School Diploma and one (1) year of experience supporting students, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to pass a mandatory background check.
• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Competent in web navigation.
• Familiar with online learning experiences.
• Quick to learn new technology tools, including database and web-based applications.
• Preference for candidates residing in North Carolina or South Carolina; candidates from nearby states such as Georgia, Tennessee, or Virginia may also be considered.
• Desired: four years of college education.
