This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Deliver targeted course content in a virtual setting
• Offer instruction, support, and guidance effectively
• Oversee the learning process
• Concentrate on the individual needs of students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs
• Collaborate actively with students and parents to enhance each student's learning
• Ensure compliance with documentation required for serving students with special needs
• Create compliant IEPs, progress reports, and state-mandated special education documents
• Facilitate collaborative special education meetings, including annual IEP meetings
• Provide engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students
• Evaluate student data to recommend remediation and enrichment as necessary
• Bachelor's degree
• Valid State Special Education teaching license
• Ability to pass the required background check
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with fellow educators
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with the specified age group
• Background in assisting adults and children with technology use
• Experience teaching online (virtually) and/or in a traditional classroom setting
• Familiarity with online learning platforms
