This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee TW's spare parts inventory required for startup, commissioning, and warranty service tasks.
• Keep precise inventory records, monitor stocking levels, and establish reorder thresholds.
• Create and manage inventory control procedures, conduct cycle counts, and perform audits.
• Ensure that parts are appropriately stored, labeled, and easily accessible for the service team.
• Formulate methodologies and systems for predictive parts suggestions based on historical usage data, failure rates, and the criticality of parts at customer locations.
• Evaluate trends to decide which parts should be stocked internally versus those that need to be quoted individually.
• Constantly enhance stocking strategies to achieve a balance between availability and carrying costs.
• Develop customized spare parts recommendations for clients to keep on site, especially for equipment no longer under warranty.
• Prepare and present spare parts quotes to customers.
• Provide parts quotes for out-of-warranty service requests as required.
• Inform customers about the importance of maintaining essential spare parts on site.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with key parts vendors and suppliers.
• Monitor lead times, pricing, and parts availability across the supply chain.
• Identify and qualify appropriate replacement parts and alternative sources to mitigate supply risks.
• Broaden the vendor network to support new equipment lines, obsolete components, and competitive pricing.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and supply agreements with vendors.
• Lead and cultivate the Spare Parts Department team.
• Set department goals, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms that align with Operations objectives.
• Engage cross-functionally with Service, Engineering, Sales, and Project Management teams.
• Regularly report to the COO on department performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
• Experience in supporting startup and commissioning activities for HVAC or mechanical systems.
• Background in developing predictive maintenance or criticality-based stocking programs.
• Extensive experience managing spare parts for HVAC systems, including mechanical, electrical, and controls components.
• Proven expertise in inventory management and parts operations.
• Demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining vendor relationships.
• Experience in preparing customer quotes and recommendations.
• Record of leading or developing a parts or operations team.
• Strong analytical skills with the capability to create data-driven stocking and forecasting models.
• Working knowledge of HVAC equipment and components, including their failure modes and servicing requirements.
• Familiarity with ERP, inventory management, and parts catalog systems.
• Excellent vendor negotiation and relationship management abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer-facing interactions.
• Capacity to lead a department and collaborate across Operations, Service, and Engineering.
