Spanish VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Honduras.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Have a strong understanding of the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates (specifically in healthcare and medical fields).

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or altering content.

• Deliver exceptional customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by ensuring precise and complete interpretation of messages.

• Implement established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and provide reports to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language, "Spanish".

• At least 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
