Spanish VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Have a strong understanding of the specific vocabulary used within the healthcare and medical industries.

• Accurately render all messages in full, without adding, omitting, or altering content.

• Deliver the highest level of customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretations.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show eagerness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report effectively to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Spanish".

• At least 1 year of experience in over-the-phone interpretation within a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
