Spanish-speaking Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Puerto Rico.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily accounting operations for various entities, including general ledger postings, reconciliations, and the month-end closing procedures.

• Manage multi-currency transactions and ensure accurate accounting for foreign exchange variances.

• Ensure adherence to local accounting standards and tax regulations for each entity.

• Supervise payroll processing for employees across different countries, guaranteeing timely and precise payments.

• Ensure compliance with international payroll laws and regulations, including deductions, benefits, and reporting obligations.

• Prepare and send invoices to clients, ensuring both accuracy and punctuality.

• Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on overdue payments, and address client billing questions.

• Generate financial statements and management reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, on a monthly and quarterly basis.

• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to management to aid strategic decision-making.

• Maintain precise records in QuickBooks across all entities, ensuring data integrity and consistency.

• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with both local and international regulations.

• Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and workflows by utilizing technology to improve efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• CPA, CMA, or an equivalent certification is desirable.

• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a technology multinational or accounting setting.

• Demonstrated experience managing accounting for multiple entities and currencies.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks (required) along with advanced Excel capabilities.

• Knowledge of accounting standards such as GAAP or IFRS and familiarity with payroll software/tools.
