Spanish OPI/VRI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific terminology relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates (specifically healthcare and medical). Training will be provided for this.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, without adding, omitting, or substituting any content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpreting sessions.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and comprehensive interpretations of the messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and provide updates to your team leader.

• Follow dress code guidelines for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Spanish".

• At least 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation within a reputable interpretation company is advantageous, though not mandatory.

• A solid understanding of medical terminology is beneficial, though not required.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare sector is an advantage (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
