Spanish OPI-VRI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Receive calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the healthcare and medical industries.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service while interpreting.

• Enable effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and Clients by providing precise and comprehensive interpretation of messages.

• Implement established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and report to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language (Spanish).

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company is advantageous, though not mandatory.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial, but not required.

• Awareness of legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications relevant to the healthcare industry are advantageous (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
