SOX AI Specialist – Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to convert real-world SOX testing processes into scalable product functionalities.

• Co-create AI agents alongside AI engineers to implement comprehensive SOX testing by transforming SOX testing methodologies into precise guidance, decision rules, and examples.

• Engage directly with AI agents: craft and enhance prompts, execute controls and evidence through testing workflows, assess outputs, and document failure modes.

• Evaluate risk and control matrices as well as test plans to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing agentic testing.

• Formulate stress-test scenarios, analyze and review AI agent performance, and establish thorough error analyses and evaluation criteria.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of four years of practical experience in control testing related to SOX compliance, internal audit, or internal controls, with direct involvement in control design and testing.

• Extensive experience across various control types, industries, and organizations, demonstrating clear expertise in business process control testing.

• Ability to consistently articulate the rationale behind a test step, exception, or conclusion, and to translate that reasoning into clear evaluation criteria.

• Strong written communication skills: capable of explaining workflows and decisions sequentially and converting professional judgment into clear rules, edge cases, and review criteria.

• High level of comfort and hands-on experience with AI tools, including writing prompts and working with agentic harnesses.

• Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, rapidly test ideas, and adjust your approach when evidence does not align.

• Availability to meet the expected time commitment during the initial engagement.
