This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.

📋 Description

• Create reports and write across various formats, effortlessly transitioning between breaking news, original reporting, insightful analysis, and comprehensive enterprise stories.

• Act swiftly and think broadly: take ownership of submitting timely articles on urgent stories while also monitoring longer-term trends impacting the region's travel economy.

• Remain well-informed about global and regional travel developments, staying attuned to Skift’s coverage and the wider competitive environment.

• Generate and unveil original stories by leveraging deep industry contacts, regulatory documents, corporate disclosures, and your own relentless investigative efforts.

• Apply sound and ethical journalistic judgment in your daily reporting and interactions with sources.

• Travel to cover important industry events, attend Skift’s global conferences, and engage in media appearances when opportunities arise.

• Foster open communication and share information frequently with colleagues, cultivating strong, cohesive relationships within our global, remote newsroom.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in business journalism.

• B2B or business publishing experience is highly preferred, though strong consumer media experience will be taken into account.

• A solid understanding of the travel industries in Southeast Asia, ideally supported by a broad network of contacts within the sector.

• Outstanding writing and editing skills, with a demonstrated ability to narrate compelling business stories.

• Proficiency in WordPress, basic photo editing tools, Google Docs, and standard remote collaboration platforms.

• The ability to set your own priorities and excel in a remote environment while remaining highly engaged and enthusiastic about teamwork.

• Fluency in regional languages is a significant advantage for our global coverage.
