Sourcing Specialist – Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborating as a member of a Category team that functions within a broader Global Sourcing team.

• Assisting the Global Sourcing Category Leads in Software with the successful execution of the relevant strategy.

• Contributing to category-wide efficiency and governance initiatives.

• Effectively managing and delivering new contracts and renewals.

• Promoting the adoption of suitable sourcing strategies and activities.

• Leading Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and renewals, which include complex and high-profile commercial and contractual negotiations.

• Engaging significantly with internal clients and representatives from external vendors.

• Developing and presenting compelling deal summaries and recommendations.

• Maintaining deal pipelines.

• Offering a commercial advisory service to key stakeholders.

• Achieving or surpassing various financial and non-financial performance objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree-level qualification or its equivalent.

• CIPS or another professional Sourcing/Procurement qualification is preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in sourcing relevant spend categories within a blue-chip environment.

• A proven history of successfully managing commercial and contract activities.

• Familiarity with pricing and contracting mechanisms for global enterprise-level suppliers.

• A thorough understanding of commercial levers and legal terms and conditions related to Software contracts.

• Knowledge of the supply market, supplier capabilities, and anticipated trends on both a geographic and global scale.

• Experience in negotiating software licensing agreements is preferred.

• Understanding of software license metrics and principles of software asset management.

• Experience in a Banking environment may be advantageous.
