Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as an Advanced Optical technology specialist for EXFO during visits and technical discussions.

• Offer pre-sales assistance to the NEM and LAB clientele.

• Ensure support at trade shows, conferences, and customer demonstrations, emphasizing technical product applications.

• Engage in field evaluations to guarantee that customers are adequately trained and educated on EXFO testing solutions.

• Collaborate closely with the Business Unit and Marketing to ensure the latest product information is communicated to the market.

• Provide direct insights to the Business Unit regarding competitive intelligence and new feature suggestions received from the field.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least three years of experience with communications testing equipment, photonics, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of communications technologies, including high-speed transceivers, photonics, active/passive optical components, and PIC technologies.

• Experience with testing and characterizing optical and high-speed components using tools such as tunable laser sources, high-speed optical test solutions, and fiber characterization equipment.

• A degree in Telecommunications, Optics, Engineering, or a comparable field.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Willingness to travel approximately 25%-50% of the time.
