This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop and present customer-focused solution designs, proposed architectures, and business outcomes to various stakeholders, including developers, architects, CTOs, and CIOs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Services, Support, Training, and Engineering to communicate Cloudera’s Vision to customers.
• Guide customers through use case patterns by leading discovery and requirements workshops.
• Convert customer feedback into actionable items for the product roadmap.
• Work alongside colleagues and management to establish a technical selling strategy.
• Engage with the Cloudera community through evangelism activities (blogs, meetups, industry events) and contribute to both internal and external knowledge bases.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in a comparable role, selling solutions to business leaders and technical advocates within enterprises.
• Proven experience with AI ecosystems, including Agentic AI, Ethical AI solutions, Generative AI solutions, and AI Development Tools such as Cursor, CoPilot, and Claude.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Background in Solution Architecture/Engineering, with the ability to listen to customer needs, diagram and propose solution architectures, and be hands-on with technology to design, build, and demonstrate tangible business value.
• Familiarity with the Apache Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, YARN) and associated components (Spark, Hive, Impala, Kudu, Solr, etc.), and the ability to discuss the advantages of a centralized architecture for data management and access.
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and IBM Cloud.
• Interest in obtaining public cloud certification.
• Proficient with Linux OS and knowledgeable in bare metal, VM, and distributed container platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Some experience with specific private cloud infrastructures (Server Hardware, Storage, Networking).
• Familiarity with the formation of Data Lakes, principles of Data Warehousing, SQL and relational database patterns, and application integration.
• Basic understanding of differentiators within the competitive landscape.
• Some foundational software development skills in Java, Scala, or Python.
• Experience with Data Flow, Queues, and Stream Processing (Nifi, Kafka, Flink, Spark) in enterprise applications.
• Interest in Data Science and an understanding of the distinctions between Data Engineering and Applied Science.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a Technical Field.
