Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the complete technical evaluation process. Lead the technical discovery, feasibility analysis, and solution architecture throughout the pre-sale phase. You will be the go-to authority for questions like "can we accomplish this, and what resources are required?"

• Create comprehensive systems-level solutions. Convert firm workflow needs into integration designs covering APIs, webhooks, data migration, ETL, and SSO, while assessing feasibility independently without needing Engineering for every inquiry.

• Develop contract-quality scoping documents that Delivery Leads can implement without needing to revisit previous discussions. Your deliverables will set the foundation for successful implementation.

• Manage executive meetings. Establish credibility with firm-side CTOs, COOs, and partners while shaping deal strategies in collaboration with our Account Executives, influencing evaluation criteria, and building trust with technical buyers.

• Identify the actual needs of firms, including those that may not be explicitly stated, and synthesize your findings into designs, timelines, and constraints. Knowing when to decline is part of the role.

• Construct the playbook. Transform sporadic successes into a structured approach that minimizes uncertainty for those around you.

• Relay field insights back to Product, capturing specific patterns across engagements rather than isolated feature requests.

• Engage in person. On-site visits and joint sales calls are a significant aspect of this position, and you genuinely find enjoyment in them.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in pre-sales, post-sales, solutions architecture, or solutions engineering within B2B SaaS, preferably in FinTech or accounting technology, at a rapidly growing 0-1 company or an early-series growth-stage company.

• Ideally possess proficiency in the accounting technology stack: GL systems, practice management platforms, document management, and billing infrastructure, with an understanding of the distinctions among Big 4, Top 25, and regional firm environments.

• Strong knowledge of APIs, webhooks, data migration, ETL, and SSO that enables you to design integrations and assess feasibility independently.

• Practical experience with AI tools and AI-assisted workflows in operational settings, along with the ability to speak knowledgeably about the future trajectory of the technology.

• Outstanding communication skills across various audiences: technical proficiency at the whiteboard and executive presence in the boardroom.

• Coachability and self-awareness: you can guide us through a deal you initially scoped poorly, what insights you gained, and how it improved your subsequent scoping discussions.

• A builder's mindset: you have established structure where none existed and have made your work reproducible.
