Solution Architect – Salesforce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive Salesforce solution architecture encompassing Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, CPQ, and customized platform functions.

• Create scalable, secure, and high-performance Salesforce architectures that align with corporate standards and business goals.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to collect requirements and convert them into technical solution designs and implementation plans.

• Deliver technical leadership and direction to Salesforce administrators, developers, business analysts, and integration teams.

• Design intricate integrations between Salesforce and external enterprise systems utilizing APIs, middleware, ETL tools, and event-driven architectures.

• Set and uphold Salesforce best practices concerning data modeling, security, governance, automation, release management, and DevOps processes.

• Assess existing architecture and propose enhancements for scalability, maintainability, and system performance.

• Facilitate solution reviews, technical design workshops, and architecture governance procedures.

• Assist in estimation, project planning, risk evaluation, and technical delivery management for Salesforce projects.

• Guarantee adherence to data governance, security, and regulatory standards across all Salesforce solutions.

• Keep abreast of Salesforce platform advancements and suggest emerging technologies and capabilities that align with business strategies.

• Work in conjunction with enterprise architecture and IT leadership to ensure Salesforce solutions are consistent with overarching technology strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in implementing and supporting Salesforce solutions within enterprise settings.

• More than 5 years of experience in a Solution Architect or Technical Architect position.

• Extensive knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and platform customization.

• Significant experience in designing Salesforce integrations with ERP, marketing, customer support, and other enterprise systems.

• Practical experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, APIs, SOQL, and Salesforce security architecture.

• Demonstrated experience leading complex Salesforce implementations involving multiple stakeholders and large user bases.

• Strong grasp of Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and environment strategies.

• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and cross-functional technology teams.

• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

• Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Application Architect, System Architect, or equivalent.

• Preferred Qualifications: Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or progress toward CTA certification.

• Experience with Salesforce Industry Clouds and advanced platform functionalities.

• Background in MuleSoft or other enterprise integration platforms.

• Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and cloud integration patterns.

• Experience in leading digital transformation or CRM modernization initiatives.

• Familiarity with data warehousing, analytics, AI/Einstein capabilities, and customer data platforms.

• Proven mentoring and team leadership experience across distributed technical teams.

• Experience in hybrid cloud and multi-system enterprise environments.

• An MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.
