Solar Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Assemble solar panels and standard frames as necessary.

• Install photovoltaic (PV) systems in compliance with standards using drawings, schematics, and directives from senior management.

• Install electrical components, equipment, or systems as required.

• Assess suitable locations and orientations for panel installations.

• Execute wiring tasks related to the solar system.

• Conduct regular maintenance on photovoltaic (PV) systems, including panels, arrays, batteries, inverters, and structures.

• Compile and maintain records of system operation, performance, and upkeep.

• Oversee large installation projects.

• Determine reliable and appropriate sizes, ratings, and placements for all system overcurrent devices, disconnect devices, grounding equipment, and surge protection devices.

• Program, adjust, or configure inverters and controls for desired set points and operational modes.

• Identify and rectify any deficiencies in photovoltaic (PV) system installations, wiring, or materials.

• Test operating voltages to ensure they remain within acceptable limits for power conditioning equipment, such as inverters and controllers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical Courses/Diploma related to Electrical/Solar Installations.

• Intermediate level with practical experience.

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the installation of solar systems.

• Hands-on experience with over 15 On Grid/Off Grid installations.

• Preferred: Experience with Net Metering installations and earthing.

• Understanding of climate factors and shading impacts on PV power generation.

• Proficient in using basic instruments such as multimeters, current meters, power analyzers, inclinometers, etc.

• Experience with solar pump drives is preferred.
