Solar PV Field Test Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Conduct **on-site evaluations** of solar PV installations to ensure construction quality and adherence to regulations

• Execute **visual and electrical assessments** in accordance with established protocols

• Confirm **field measurements and testing data** to ensure consistency with site conditions

• Detect, record, and monitor **flaws, discrepancies, and safety concerns**

• Assist with **performance testing operations**, which include:

• - IV curve tracing

• - Electroluminescence (EL) imaging

• - Thermographic inspections

• - Insulation resistance assessments

• Manage and operate field instruments (IV tracers, EL cameras, IR cameras, multimeters, clamp meters)

• Collaborate with **clients, contractors, and site teams** to guarantee preparedness and seamless execution of testing procedures

• Attend **site meetings** and convey findings effectively

• Assist in the preparation of **field reports and technical documentation**

• Aid in the collection and initial evaluation of **PR measurements and performance metrics**

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical diploma or certification in **electrical, renewable energy, or a similar domain** *(Relevant practical experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education)*

• Fundamental knowledge of **solar PV systems or electrical installations**

• Proven experience in **field testing, inspections, or electrical measurements**

• Keen attention to detail and capability to adhere to structured processes

• Strong communication skills and capacity to operate independently on site

• Proficiency with **Microsoft Office and digital tools**

• **Preferred Qualifications:**

• Familiarity with **PV testing instruments** (IV tracers, EL, thermography)

• Knowledge of **PV modules, inverters, or system performance evaluation**

• Experience using **DSLR cameras** for technical documentation

• **Additional Requirements**

• Willingness to travel frequently throughout Europe

• Capacity to work in **outdoor and challenging conditions** (temperature fluctuations, extended hours, night shifts when necessary)

• Ability to climb ladders and operate at heights as needed

• Proper usage of **personal protective equipment (PPE)**

• Basic understanding of **safety regulations and site protocols**
